Wide-column-store database
We have launched a wide-column-store database as our first product. It is the basis of our future persistence and artificial-intelligence platform.
Resilient
The architecture is masterless, all nodes are identical. Hence, there are no single points of failure or bottle-necks. With the right setup, the database can withstand without downtime node failures or even the outage of an entire data centre. It provides both synchronous and asynchronous replication and repair functionality.
Scalable
The database scales horizontally, with read and write throughput increasing linearly in the number of nodes.
Nodes can be added or removed without database downtime. Fast internode streaming is used during scaling operations.
Portable
The database is protocol-compatibility with Apache Cassandra (TM) 5.0. It runs on newest stable Java (TM) 24 (only, and is optimized for it) and provides real platform independence (e.g., no hardcoded "/" in file-system-specific path names). This is also supported by an improved configuration, with a clear concept for the various directories.
Affordable
As we are committed to "value for money", we are offering a competitive pricing. We think that we can achieve a positive business case even in a minimal setup.
